Do You Know Which type of water is safe for drinking

Human body requires pure and safe drinking water for healthy life.

Now the question is,

Which type of water is safe for human beings ?

What types of quality should be there in our drinking water ?

These are the questions that have been tried to answer by various studies but still no common conclusion have been given. Some studies related to TDS (Total Dissolved Solid) level, pH level, Oxygen level in Water, Minerals level in Drinking Water etc.have been done previously and still in different states and nations are going on.

In Indian Water Industry so many products have been launched ranging from Water Purifiers for Drinking Water production to Packaged Drinking Water Bottle, many of them claim to give benefits and improved health !!

Do you ever tried to know how ??

Well here in Satya Neer we tried to answer with reference to informations available on public domain and our own testing being done so far.

First question arises everytime that how much TDS level should be of Drinking Water !  

Well our govt agency MCD (Municipal Corporation of Delhi) in Delhi have there water treatment plants for drinking water for example in Haiderpur plant and Sonia Vihar plant, usually whenever we have tested tds level of water it comes to average of 100 ppm or mg/litre.

Another case study on different packaged drinking water bottle when checked found tds level varies from 15 ppm or mg/litre to 65 ppm or mg/litrein reputed and established Brands !

As per WHO guidelines, TDS level as follows: excellent, less than 300 mg/litre; good, between 300 and 600 mg/litre; fair, between 600 and 900 mg/litre; poor, between 900 and 1200 mg/litre; and unacceptable, greater than 1200 mg/litre (1). Water with extremely low concentrations of TDS may also be unacceptable because of its flat, insipid taste.

Second question arises that how much pH level should be of Drinking water !

As per WHO guidelines, pH of most drinking-water lies within the range 6.5–8.5.The optimum pH will vary in different supplies according to the composition of the water and the nature of the construction materials used in the distribution system, but is often in the range 6.5–9.5.

Ideally 7 pH level is neutral and commonly acceptable for drinking.

Oxigen and Minerals in Drinking Water is also a talk of town these days.

This means it is rich in compounds including calcium, sodium, potassium, magnesium, and bicarbonate etc. which are plays important role in body functions and makes improvement in our immune system.
